The first 36ONE Openwater Swim Series 'Viking Swim Challenge' of 2026, will be our 5km adventure swim from Cosy Bay to Camps Bay.
The spectacular views of Table Mountain's Twelve Apostles as well as Lionshead, will accompany you in these pristine Atlantic ocean waters, as you glide through kelp forests and swim past the famous beaches of Bakoven, to the finish at Camps Bay beach.
See you on Sunday, May 31.
Alternate days being the Saturday (or even the Friday) before, weather dependant.
We want the very best winter conditions for a safe and adventurous swim!
Cosy Bay is located close to Oudekraal, and the 12 Apostles Hotel & Spa.
Information
The logistics for the day are structured to ensure maximum safety and enjoyment for the participants. Please be advised this is an intermediate to advanced swim, for those that have participated in open water swims of at least 2.5kms before. There are few emergency exits, so swimmer safety depends on swimmer experience.
Bright swim caps (no blue/black/grey) and tow float are compulsory.
No U18, unless previously arranged with Warren Fialkov.
Your car will find a space along Camps Bay's Victoria road.
Unfortunately there is a 'No Refund' policy for this event, and tickets can not be held over to the next Viking Swim Challenge.
Should this event be cancelled by 36ONE, refunds (minus the booking fees) will be issued.
